Millions of workers around the globe have been severely affected by this, particularly migrant workers who have lost and are on the verges of losing their jobs. As a drastic burden is postulated and the decision to migrate depends on the costs and benefits, a standard theoretical model is perhaps hard to justify and replicate during this unprecedented time, as uncertainty significantly played a role.
