Even though the ASEAN regional grouping recognized this problem, as evidenced in the established of the Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response in 2009, the region is still pretty much rampant by natural disasters because the disaster management policy being put in place requires more technology-oriented mechanisms. With that said, ICTs or specifically AI-driven solutions are proven to be able to offer a pool of affordances in relations to effective and timely disaster management.
