ABOUT Aide-Memoire
Recently, the U.S. and China broke the news headline with their trade war plays. Amid high anticipations from economists and experts on the new round of trade talks between the U.S. and China, Trump made a sudden move to increase the tariffs on $200 billion worth of imported Chinese products, crashing the false hope into pieces. Not long after, China responded with retaliatory tariffs on American products, as expected. This makes the world’s economy went into shock once again.
This aide-mémoire will give an overview of trade war as a concept, and discuss about US-China trade war in particular as to what caused it and what trade war can do to the world’s economy.
