ABOUT Opinion

The U.S. pressure on Cambodia is argued to be a part of its strategy to contain China. The recent arms embargo on Cambodia thus verified such claim. However, this arms embargo on Cambodia is only symbolic as the United States is not an arms supplier to Cambodia. It is rather an action that clearly interferes with Cambodia’s right to conduct its own foreign affairs. At this point, what should Cambodia do to cope with this kind of geopolitical rivalry impacts?
