Biography

Moro Kort was an intern at Cambodia Development Center. Presently, she is a sophomore student at Paragon International University, majoring in Political Science and International Relations. From her past experience, she is quite interested and enthusiastic about introducing, developing, and carrying out projects that are harmonious or aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, to be precise. It is also one of her dreams to be able to represent herself on the international arena as a Cambodian woman and be there to promote the welfare of her fellow citizens.

In the academic year 2018-2019, she graduated from high school with grade A and was offered a full scholarship from her current university. In early 2019, she participated in a regional exchange program in Singapore called Youth Environmental Summit (YES) and earned a champion cup and two gold medals for the Distinctive Project Award, The Environmental Project Competition and The Best Performance, respectively. Besides, she was also a volunteer in one of the nonprofit organizations in Cambodia, the Khmer Art Action (KAA), to preserve, promote and produce the highest possible standard of our Khmer arts. In the same year, she started a course called Innovative Concept Development and earned herself a title Senior Design Thinker for a one-of-a-kind 17 weeks gamification Design Thinking.

In the future, she is also hoping to further her studying by pursuing a master’s degree in International Relations or even continue into a higher degree if she will be given a chance. But to do so, she certainly believes that she has to work even harder and be stronger than yesterday’s her, in whichever circumstances she is or will be facing in the years ahead.
