Emerging Geopolitics in the Indo Pacific
Cambodia Development Center has successfully concluded a Public Lecture on “Emerging Geopolitics in the Indo Pacific” with notable appearance by Dr. Leszek Buszynski, an honorary professor at the Australian National University. We would like to express our appreciation to Asian Vision Institute (AVI) for their cooperation and Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) for their generous support. We are also grateful for RUPP students and distinguished guests who did not only give Dr. Leszek Buszynski a very warm welcome but also involved actively and cooperated sincerely throughout the running of the public lecture from beginning to end.

1. “The construct of the Indo-Pacific geopolitics is built around the free and stable maritime order, and freedom of navigation. Thus, to seek peace and stability, we need to strike a balance of power, a regional equilibrium.”
2. “Any security cooperation built in the form of anti-China or containment of China is a negative development. One should remember that China is the second-largest economy in the world so, like it or not, China cannot be contained. The best solution one should adopt is to socialize China and integrate her deeply into the region so that China will self-consciously respect international norms out of a sense of responsibility as a stakeholder.”
